Most of the time the platform are owned by teleports, so called LES (Land Earth Station) or Uplinks. Teleports use the IP DVB Platforms to create different services to fulfill the requirements of the customers.
There are also cases when a customer acquires a platform from us; install to a teleport, just to be sure is in total control of the services he provides.
For the end user satisfaction it is less important who own the platform as the one who use it to not overbooking and has the knowledge to setup well.
The platform can be also used as a starting point for the one way satellite business.
Near IP DVB Platform who provides High Speed Satellite Internet services can be added a Content Delivery Platform capable to provide File Delivery and IP Streaming services.
