Security
When we talk about security we talk about it at different layers.
First security it is at IP level. Who can attack the platform? The attacks can come from Internet and from own VPN customers! Even if they want or they just have computers infected, the platform it is under attack and we need to keep this in mind all the time. That why we install two protections one from Internet and another one from our own VPN Customers.
Another security level it is one of the Management Interface. The Management interface benefit by 2 basic protections (system protections) and one advanced supplementary created for crystal clear separation between Service Owner accounts / Resellers and End Users in all aspects.
Another very delicate protection it is between Resellers and Management Interface. Every time when a Reseller or End User change the mac address, before accepting the new one, the system check for duplicates and in case this is occurred the changes are rejected to avoid any human mistakes. Moreover when the Management Interface updates Encapsulators with the new customers, this is done via a configuration file that is checked by a special engine for correct syntaxes. In this way we are absolutely sure that the Encapsulators never receive a bad configuration file.
Least but not last, the Management Interface keep a copy of all actions of al Resellers Accounts, in hierarchical order in such a way that anytime it is possible to see what was modified by a Reseller in one work session and very easy to identify the mistake he done.
